Film Review: The Grand

The Grand: Right, i love poker, i love the cast in this so by default this should be great - wrong. Its done in a "look at us with our spontaneus acting, we dont really need a plot just a series of events, if it can work for larry david & the spinal tap crew then itll work for us" way. Pile. Of. Wank. I know all the main actors are poker fans and im sure they had a ball making this what wit hangin around with Brunson, Ivey, Hellmuth & the boys but they seriously could've put a bit more motherfuckin effort in the script - a few half decent jokes every now and again does not make a movie. An the poker itslef -well, i wouldnt have minded if even that was decent but f*ck no - why should that be decent too? If you're gonna f*ck up why not do it properly. Very very disappointing altogether. 0.5 / 5
