Film Review: Fido

Fido: Fido's a zombie film about a futuristic company called Zomcom who control and then rent out zombies to do menial jobs around enclosed citys - all while being set in 1950's america. It is random. It is odd. It is highly engrossing and Billy Connolly is amazing as the title character - even tho he doesnt utter a word!!! God, his menacing grimace is so fucking funny!!!! i know that sounds hard to believe but every time he did it myslef and the ladyfriend were in stitches!!!! Carrie anne moss is very sexually attractive too - especially in 1950's suburban american attire! Mmmm. This film could be terrible, it could be shite and it could be not worth reviewing but nope, its none of them and instead its a very family-orientated zombie/pet/coming of age story that, along with Kabluey, lets me know there is tons of quality films out there just waiting to be found, all we have to do is skim the surface to find them. By no means the best thing since sliced bread (or the george foreman grill) but it will eventually pick up a cult-following and that i suppose is the best thing an underground film like this could wish to happen. Well worth the watch and you will laugh at Connollys growl - guaranteed! Entertaining. 3.5 / 5
