Film Review: Eden Lake

Eden Lake: Urrrrrrrgh. i am not taking the missus on a camping trip EVER. i told her that as we were watching it too. before i even had setled down i was uneasy at this - its one of those films you roughly know what the craic is but you dont know how its going to be reached. Little chavvy bastards anywyas. If that was me i would've packed up and fucked off home to have a cheese toasty as soon as id sensed the first bit of trouble. The cast all did their jobs rightly - the main chavvy lad's in skins s3 now an to an extent he's playin the exact same character, they've fuckin ruined that show by puttin characters that you dont give a f*ck about but that rants for another day, Thomas Thurgoods in it too but he doesnt have an awful lot to do. The film didnt leave me with a happy taste in my mouth but it was supposed to do that im guessin. A lot of people made a lot of the ending but things have to end someway or another -be it a pint, smoke, relationship or murderous camping weekend. Overall not a bad show but i dont think ill be watchin it again for a while - not because it scared me, but because, truth be told, when you take away all the violence, its really just a bit sh*t. 2 /5
