-My best friend at school tried to convince us all that, despite the fact that it was a diabolically bad song, the Beautiful South had come to stay with him during the summer holidays and they’d asked him to help them write a new hit. He then came up with ‘Song for Whoever’ (“Jennifer, Alison, Philippa, Sue” etc) based on all the girls he’d fingered.
Oh, and he was 12.
-A girl in class told everyone (in class) that she had received a phone call over the weekend from Jordan from New Kids on the Block, who had begged her to go on a date with him. When someone asked (quite reasonably) how he even knew of the existence of a bespectacled Manchester schoolgirl, she said that he had spotted her on a plane from Benidorm and been so transfixed, he had made it his mission to track her down. Sadly the date never happened because of his ‘touring commitments.’
-My next door neighbour (when I was eight) reckoned his dad once kicked a football so high that it got stuck on top of a cloud and they had to hire a helicopter to get it back down.
-There was my friend Colm – he knew a kid who had an earthquake detector built into his watch. Which was wasted in Hertfordshire really. The same kid’s dad actually did write the Superted theme, rather amazingly. (this was verified)

This day last year i posted my first post! Altogether "awwwwwwww" :-)

So yeah - all you motherfuckers better wish me happy motherfuckin birthday bitches!!! Na, seriously though - thanks for popping in every now and again & commentating when you could - i'd probably still do this is no-one even bothered but it's nice to know i'm not doing this alone and just for my own Wilson :-) Anyways enough of this sentimental shite, thanks once again & here's to the next 888 posts.
